Algeria, with a CAGR of +38.0%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, heat exchange unit imports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +7.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +38.5% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 29% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

Mexico (X units), China (X units) and Canada (X units) were the main suppliers of heat exchange unit imports to the United States, with a combined 51% share of total imports. Japan, South Korea, Poland, Germany, Italy, France, Sweden, the UK and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 39%.

In 2022, the average heat exchange unit import price amounted to $X per unit, with a decrease of -8.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 10% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
