The U.S. lifting equipment market was finally on the rise to reach $X in 2021, after two years of decline. Over the period under review, consumption saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 70% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The Netherlands (X units), Canada (X units) and Mexico (X units) were the main destinations of lifting equipment exports from the United States, together comprising 51% of total exports. These countries were followed by Guyana, the UK, Chile, Brazil, Taiwan (Chinese), Turkey, Colombia, Japan, Germany and China, which together accounted for a further 30%.

In 2021, the average lifting equipment export price amounted to $X per unit, growing by 15% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 24%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2020 to 2021, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 951%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, lifting equipment imports expanded significantly to $X in 2021. In general, imports posted measured growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 86% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

The UK (X units), Sweden (X units) and Poland (X units) were the main suppliers of lifting equipment imports to the United States, together comprising 51% of total imports.
