The U.S. magnesite market expanded markedly to $X in 2021, with an increase of 12% against the previous year. Overall, consumption saw resilient growth. In 2021, magnesite imports into the United States totaled X tons, with an increase of 13% against the year before. In general, imports recorded a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 838% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, magnesite imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports posted tangible growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 339%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
