In value terms, non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk exports shrank to $X in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +3.1% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by 19% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Canada (X litres) was the main destination for non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk exports from the United States, accounting for a 61% share of total exports. Moreover, non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk exports to Canada exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Mexico (X litres), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Taiwan (Chinese) (X litres), with a 3.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Canada was relatively modest. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Mexico (+1.1% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+12.0% per year).
In value terms, Canada ($X) remains the key foreign market for non-alcoholic beverages, not containing milk exports from the United States, comprising 56% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Mexico ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by Taiwan (Chinese), with a 7.2% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Canada amounted to +2.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Mexico (+1.7% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+14.5% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The average export price for non-alcoholic beverages, not containing milk stood at $X per litre in 2022, surging by 2.4% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.6%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when the average export price increased by 38% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per litre), while the average price for exports to Panama ($X per litre) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of non-alcoholic beverages, not containing milk decreased by -37.5% to X litres for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. In general, total imports indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 30%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X litres in 2021, and then dropped significantly in the following year.
In value terms, non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk imports dropped sharply to $X in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a noticeable increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 24% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then declined notably in the following year.

Mexico (X litres), the Philippines (X litres) and Canada (X litres) were the main suppliers of non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk imports to the United States, with a combined 62% share of total imports. South Korea, Thailand, the Netherlands, Taiwan (Chinese), Guatemala, Vietnam, El Salvador, Germany, China and Brazil lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 29%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Vietnam (with a CAGR of +29.8%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Mexico ($X), Canada ($X) and the Philippines ($X) were the largest non-alcoholic beverage, not containing milk suppliers to the United States, with a combined 59% share of total imports. South Korea, Thailand, the Netherlands, Taiwan (Chinese), Vietnam, Guatemala, Germany, El Salvador, China and Brazil lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 30%.
The Netherlands, with a CAGR of +26.0%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average import price for non-alcoholic beverages, not containing milk stood at $X per litre in 2022, growing by 4.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 an increase of 12%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per litre. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per litre), while the price for El Salvador ($X per litre) was amongst the lowest.
