Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Taiwan (Chinese) (X units), the Philippines (X units) and South Korea (X units) were the main destinations of poultry-keeping machinery exports from the United States, together accounting for 28% of total exports. South Africa, Chile, Mexico, Poland, Guatemala, Morocco, El Salvador, Venezuela, Japan and the Dominican Republic lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 44%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Guatemala (with a CAGR of +28.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Mexico ($X) remains the key foreign market for poultry-keeping machinery exports from the United States, comprising 20% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the Philippines ($X), with an 8.1% share of total exports. It was followed by Venezuela, with a 5.2% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Mexico totaled +2.3%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Philippines (+10.3% per year) and Venezuela (-6.2% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the average poultry-keeping machinery export price amounted to $X per unit, reducing by -14.3% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.4%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 24% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit, and then fell in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mexico (+17.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into the U.S.
For the fifth year in a row, the United States recorded growth in overseas purchases of poultry-keeping machinery, which increased by 3.8% to X units in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 116% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, poultry-keeping machinery imports rose notably to $X in 2022. In general, imports enjoyed strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 128%. Imports peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Italy (X units), Germany (X units) and the Netherlands (X units) were the main suppliers of poultry-keeping machinery imports to the United States, with a combined 90% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Spain, which accounted for a further 1.7%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Spain (with a CAGR of +97.2%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
