In 2022, overseas purchases of radio receivers increased by 1.9% to X units, rising for the third year in a row after seven years of decline. In general, imports, however, saw a pronounced downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 16% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, radio receiver imports rose rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw a pronounced decline. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of radio receiver to the United States, with a 66% share of total imports. Moreover, radio receiver imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Mexico (X units), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Thailand (X units), with a 6.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from China stood at -5.9%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Mexico (+0.9% per year) and Thailand (+3.1% per year).
In value terms, Mexico ($X) constituted the largest supplier of radio receivers to the United States, comprising 40% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by China ($X), with a 16% share of total imports. It was followed by Thailand, with a 15% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from Mexico amounted to +3.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (-13.9% per year) and Thailand (+1.5% per year).

The average radio receiver import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, picking up by 10% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.0%.
