In 2022, the U.S. register book market increased by 9.7% to $X, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. The market value increased at an average annual rate of +3.1% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. In value terms, Canada ($X) remains the key foreign market for registers, account books, order books and receipt books exports from the United States, comprising 51% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with an 8.1% share of total exports. It was followed by Germany, with a 3.6% share.

Over the period under review, total imports indicated resilient growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +82.1% against 2013 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 25% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
