China (X tons) was the main destination for sheepskin and lambskin exports from the United States, accounting for a 85% share of total exports. Moreover, sheepskin and lambskin exports to China exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Turkey (X tons), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Brazil (X tons), with a 2.2% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to China amounted to -13.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Turkey (-15.2% per year) and Canada (-8.7% per year).
