Soya Sauce Market Size in the U.S.

In 2022, the U.S. soya sauce market decreased by -0.3% to $X, falling for the third consecutive year after three years of growth. Overall, consumption, however, showed buoyant growth. Overall, total exports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +48.8% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 25% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, soya sauce exports rose notably to $X in 2022. In general, total exports indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +90.1% against 2013 indices. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.5% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 12% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.7% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
