The U.S. soybean oilcake market fell modestly to $X in 2021, almost unchanged from the previous year. Over the period under review, consumption showed a pronounced setback. Ecuador, the Philippines, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Venezuela, Morocco, Honduras, El Salvador, Panama and Sri Lanka lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 38%.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Sri Lanka (with a CAGR of +41.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for soybean oilcake exported from the United States were Mexico ($X), Colombia ($X) and Canada ($X), together accounting for 42% of total exports. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 90%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2020, and then shrank in the following year.

In value terms, soybean oilcake imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 87%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
