Woven Carpet Market Size in the U.S.

In 2022, after ten years of growth, there was significant decline in the U.S. woven carpet market, when its value decreased by -16.5% to $X. In general, consumption, however, recorded a resilient expansion. As a result, consumption reached the peak level of $X, and then declined notably in the following year.

In value terms, woven carpet production reached $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded strong growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 34%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X square meters, and then declined remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, woven carpet imports declined to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 37% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then fell in the following year.

Imports by Country

In 2022, Turkey (X square meters) constituted the largest woven carpet supplier to the United States, accounting for a 51% share of total imports. Moreover, woven carpet imports from Turkey exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, India (X square meters), twofold. Egypt (X square meters) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 7.7% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Turkey totaled +20.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: India (+10.4% per year) and Egypt (+6.5% per year).
