China (X tons), Germany (X tons) and India (X tons) were the main destinations of x-ray generator exports from the United States, together accounting for 37% of total exports. These countries were followed by Japan, Canada, Mexico, France, the Netherlands, the UK, Belgium, Singapore, Brazil and Israel, which together accounted for a further 45%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Belgium (with a CAGR of +6.4%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, China ($X), Germany ($X) and India ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for x-ray generator exported from the United States worldwide, together accounting for 37% of total exports. The average x-ray generator export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 4.1% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +7.0% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, x-ray generator export price decreased by -0.1% against 2018 indices. In 2021, after eight years of decline, there was significant growth in purchases abroad of x-ray generators, when their volume increased by 7.7% to X tons. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a abrupt contraction. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, x-ray generator imports expanded rapidly to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, recorded a noticeable reduction. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
China (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Japan (X tons) were the main suppliers of x-ray generator imports to the United States, with a combined 45% share of total imports. These countries were followed by France, Switzerland, South Korea, the UK, Canada, Austria, Mexico, India, Israel and the Netherlands, which together accounted for a further 48%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for South Korea (with a CAGR of +2.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline.
