The exports peaked at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, exports of reservoirs, tanks, vats and similar containers, of aluminium, capacity exceeding 300l, without mechanical or thermal equipment reduced sharply to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by 1,499%. Over the period under review, the exports of hit record highs at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
Sudan (X kg) was the main destination for exports of reservoirs, tanks, vats and similar containers, of aluminium, capacity exceeding 300l, without mechanical or thermal equipment from Uganda, with a 80% share of total exports. Moreover, exports of reservoirs, tanks, vats and similar containers, of aluminium, capacity exceeding 300l, without mechanical or thermal equipment to Sudan exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Rwanda (X kg), sevenfold. The third position in this ranking was held by South Sudan (X kg), with a 3.6% share.

The second position in the ranking was held by Rwanda ($X), with a 24% share of total exports. It was followed by Burundi, with a 4.8% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Sudan totaled +9.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Rwanda (+58.0% per year) and Burundi (+32.1% per year).

As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Over the period under review, imports, however, faced a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 96%. Over the period under review, imports of attained the maximum at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

Overall, imports, however, recorded a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 171% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Kenya (X tons) constituted the largest reservoirs, tanks, vats and similar containers, of aluminium, capacity exceeding 300l, without mechanical or thermal equipment supplier to Uganda, accounting for a 88% share of total imports. Moreover, imports of reservoirs, tanks, vats and similar containers, of aluminium, capacity exceeding 300l, without mechanical or thermal equipment from Kenya exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, South Africa (X kg), more than tenfold. The United States (X kg) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 3.3% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Kenya stood at +16.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: South Africa (+16.2% per year) and the United States (+3.1% per year).
In value terms, Kenya ($X), the United States ($X) and South Africa ($X) appeared to be the largest reservoirs, tanks, vats and similar containers, of aluminium, capacity exceeding 300l, without mechanical or thermal equipment suppliers to Uganda, together accounting for 87% of total imports.
In terms of the main suppliers, the United States, with a CAGR of +18.3%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average import price for reservoirs, tanks, vats and similar containers, of aluminium, capacity exceeding 300l, without mechanical or thermal equipment stood at $X per ton in 2022, increasing by 46% against the previous year. Overall, the import price posted a modest increase. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per ton), while the price for Kenya ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
