In 2022, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in the Ukrainian market for tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles, when its value increased by 51% to $X. Over the period under review, consumption saw a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, consumption attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, production of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles expanded to $X in 2022 estimated in export price. Overall, production, however, saw a pronounced setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 19%. Over the period under review, production of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off road vehicles hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, production stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports from Ukraine
After two years of growth, shipments abroad of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles decreased by -81.8% to X units in 2022. In general, exports showed a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 75% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X units, and then declined sharply in the following year.
In value terms, exports of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles shrank markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports showed a significant decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 83% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Slovakia (X units), Poland (X units) and Moldova (X units) were the main destinations of exports of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles from Ukraine, with a combined 79% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Poland (with a CAGR of +62.6%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Poland ($X), Lithuania ($X) and the United States ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for agricultural, construction and industrial machinery tyre exported from Ukraine worldwide, together comprising 56% of total exports.
Among the main countries of destination, Poland, with a CAGR of +25.8%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
Export Prices by Country
The average export price for tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles stood at $X per unit in 2022, increasing by 90% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a deep contraction. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Slovakia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (-2.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Imports of Tyres For Agriculture, Forestry, Construction, Industry And Other Off The Road Vehicles
Imports into Ukraine
In 2022, approx. X units of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles were imported into Ukraine; shrinking by -14.9% compared with 2021. Overall, total imports indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +5.0% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 23% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units, and then contracted in the following year.
In value terms, imports of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles contracted rapidly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a slight shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 23%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then contracted significantly in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of agricultural, construction and industrial machinery tyre to Ukraine, with a 52% share of total imports. Moreover, imports of tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Poland (X units), threefold. India (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China totaled +6.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (+42.2% per year) and India (+13.2% per year).
In value terms, China ($X), India ($X) and Turkey ($X) appeared to be the largest agricultural, construction and industrial machinery tyre suppliers to Ukraine, together comprising 52% of total imports. Poland, the United States, Belarus, Russia and Vietnam lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 14%.
In terms of the main suppliers, Vietnam, with a CAGR of +75.1%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average import price for tyres for agriculture, forestry, construction, industry and other off the road vehicles stood at $X per unit in 2022, declining by -37.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a perceptible curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 36% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per unit), while the price for Vietnam ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
