In value terms, Belarus ($X) remains the key foreign market for anionic surface-active agents (excluding soap) exports from Ukraine, comprising 59% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 24% share of total exports. It was followed by Poland, with a 7.4% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Belarus amounted to +9.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Uzbekistan (-2.8% per year) and Poland (+5.2% per year).

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 16% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2020, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of anionic surface-active agents (excluding soap) to Ukraine, comprising 34% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the Czech Republic ($X), with a 15% share of total imports. It was followed by Hungary, with a 14% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Germany amounted to +8.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Czech Republic (+38.7% per year) and Hungary (+161.5% per year).
