As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

The United States (X kg) was the main destination for aromatic polyamines exports from Ukraine, accounting for a 62% share of total exports. Moreover, aromatic polyamines exports to the United States exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Latvia (X kg), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Japan (X kg), with a 7.4% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to the United States stood at +70.1%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Latvia (+157.9% per year) and Japan (-9.9% per year).

In value terms, the largest markets for aromatic polyamines exported from Ukraine were Belgium ($X), the United States ($X) and Latvia ($X), together comprising 78% of total exports.

Latvia, with a CAGR of +180.0%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average aromatic polyamines export price amounted to $X per ton, jumping by 26% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded resilient growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 an increase of 1,182% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2015 to 2021, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Latvia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+30.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, after three years of decline, there was significant growth in purchases abroad of aromatic polyamines and their derivatives, salts thereof, when their volume increased by 16% to X tons. In general, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 31% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, aromatic polyamines imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X tons) was the main supplier of aromatic polyamines to Ukraine, accounting for a 93% share of total imports. It was followed by the Netherlands (X tons), with a 2.7% share of total imports. The third position in this ranking was held by Germany (X tons), with a 1.9% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China stood at +4.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Netherlands (+32.3% per year) and Germany (+98.5% per year).

In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of aromatic polyamines and their derivatives, salts thereof to Ukraine, comprising 78% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Germany ($X), with a 7% share of total imports. It was followed by the Netherlands, with a 3.1% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China totaled +3.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (+115.7% per year) and the Netherlands (+41.3% per year).

The average aromatic polyamines import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, surging by 40% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while the price for China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
