Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, baby carriage exports dropped modestly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a prominent increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 372% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Sweden (X units), Poland (X units) and Russia (X units) were the main destinations of baby carriage exports from Ukraine, together comprising 94% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Sweden (with a CAGR of +701.0%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Sweden ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for baby carriages exports from Ukraine, comprising 63% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with a 29% share of total exports. It was followed by Moldova, with a 4.5% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Sweden totaled +469.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Poland (+82.7% per year) and Moldova (+12.2% per year).

In 2022, the average baby carriage export price amounted to $X per unit, rising by 24% against the previous year. In general, the export price posted a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by 57%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (+14.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of baby carriages decreased by -48.3% to X units, falling for the third consecutive year after four years of growth. In general, imports continue to indicate a deep reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 19% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, baby carriage imports fell dramatically to $X in 2022. Overall, imports showed a pronounced descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 25% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest baby carriage supplier to Ukraine, with a 73% share of total imports. Moreover, baby carriage imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Poland (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Sweden (X units), with a 4.4% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China amounted to -8.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (-21.1% per year) and Sweden (+40.5% per year).

In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of baby carriages to Ukraine, comprising 74% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with an 18% share of total imports. It was followed by Sweden, with a 4.5% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (-12.6% per year) and Sweden (+36.3% per year).

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the average baby carriage import price amounted to $X per unit, rising by 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the average import price increased by 27% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per unit), while the price for Poland ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lithuania (+16.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
