Exports from Ukraine
In 2022, approx. X tons of bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres were exported from Ukraine; with an increase of 3.2% against the year before. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 48% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, exports of bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres expanded markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 35% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of the exports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
France (X tons), Denmark (X tons) and Germany (X tons) were the main destinations of exports of bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres from Ukraine, together accounting for 84% of total exports. Lithuania, Moldova and the Netherlands lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 14%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Moldova (with a CAGR of +59.4%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres exported from Ukraine were Denmark ($X), France ($X) and Germany ($X), together accounting for 83% of total exports. The Netherlands, Lithuania and Moldova lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 13%.
Moldova, with a CAGR of +61.9%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average export price for bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres stood at $X per ton in 2022, surging by 1.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 11%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Moldova ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Moldova (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports into Ukraine
In 2022, supplies from abroad of bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres increased by 10% to X tons, rising for the third year in a row after two years of decline. Overall, imports, however, showed a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 71%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, imports of bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres rose rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a abrupt decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 16% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2022, China (X tons) constituted the largest bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres supplier to Ukraine, accounting for a 88% share of total imports. Moreover, imports of bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Turkey (X tons), more than tenfold.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from China amounted to -2.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (-22.7% per year) and Pakistan (+15.4% per year).
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres to Ukraine, comprising 80% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Turkey ($X), with a 9.9% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from China totaled -1.9%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (-19.3% per year) and Pakistan (+12.0% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The average import price for bed linen of other woven textiles and non-woven man-made fibres stood at $X per ton in 2022, reducing by -1.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average import price increased by 55%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($X per ton), while the price for China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
