Blanket Market Size in Ukraine

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 407% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, China (X tons) constituted the largest blanket supplier to Ukraine, with a 63% share of total imports. Moreover, blanket imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Turkey (X tons), eightfold.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from China totaled -10.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (+5.0% per year) and the United States (+5.2% per year).

In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of blankets and traveling rugs (except electric blankets) to Ukraine, comprising 32% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the United States ($X), with an 8.1% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from China amounted to -9.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the United States (+17.0% per year) and Turkey (+6.1% per year).

The average blanket import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, picking up by 21% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the average import price increased by 54% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per ton), while the price for China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
