Germany (X units) was the main destination for dairy machinery exports from Ukraine, accounting for a 53% share of total exports. Moreover, dairy machinery exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Kazakhstan (X units), fourfold. Azerbaijan (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with an 8.5% share.

In value terms, the largest markets for dairy machinery exported from Ukraine were Kazakhstan ($X), Germany ($X) and Azerbaijan ($X), with a combined 90% share of total exports. Armenia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Austria lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 8.9%.

In terms of the main countries of destination, Poland, with a CAGR of +57.2%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 47% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Austria ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+19.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
