Belarus (X units) was the main destination for bar draw-bench exports from Ukraine, with a 56% share of total exports. Moreover, bar draw-bench exports to Belarus exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Poland (X units), threefold. Russia (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with an 11% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Belarus amounted to +14.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Poland (+73.2% per year) and Russia (0.0% per year).

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the key foreign market for draw-benches for bars, tubes, profiles, wire or the like exports from Ukraine, comprising 66% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Belarus ($X), with a 14% share of total exports. It was followed by Russia, with a 4.4% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Poland stood at +63.8%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Belarus (+136.5% per year) and Russia (-2.4% per year).

In general, imports enjoyed a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 880%. Imports peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, bar draw-bench imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports posted buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 761%. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Germany (X units), China (X units) and Italy (X units) were the main suppliers of bar draw-bench imports to Ukraine, with a combined 45% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Germany (with a CAGR of +33.0%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Serbia ($X per unit), while the price for Austria ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
