The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 27%. Over the period under review, production hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, production stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports from Ukraine

In 2022, approx. X units of electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters were exported from Ukraine; shrinking by -32.1% against the year before. Overall, exports recorded a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 62% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker exports contracted to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a abrupt setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 46% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

Moldova (X units), Georgia (X units) and Armenia (X units) were the main destinations of electric oven and cooker exports from Ukraine, with a combined 67% share of total exports. Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Poland, Russia, Austria, Hungary and Kazakhstan lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 29%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Austria (with a CAGR of +422.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for electric oven and cooker exported from Ukraine were Georgia ($X), Armenia ($X) and Moldova ($X), together accounting for 76% of total exports. Azerbaijan, Poland, Russia, Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Kazakhstan lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 18%.

Austria, with a CAGR of +246.1%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the average electric oven and cooker export price amounted to $X per unit, rising by 28% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a moderate increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, electric oven and cooker export price increased by +75.4% against 2015 indices. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Armenia ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Austria ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Armenia (+10.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Ukraine

After six years of growth, overseas purchases of electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters decreased by -0.3% to X units in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a measured expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 44% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2021, and then dropped modestly in the following year.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker imports shrank notably to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, posted a mild increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 38% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2021, and then contracted notably in the following year.

Imports by Country

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest electric oven and cooker supplier to Ukraine, accounting for a 79% share of total imports. Moreover, electric oven and cooker imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Turkey (X units), sevenfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Poland (X units), with a 4.1% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from China stood at +7.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (-6.4% per year) and Poland (+3.3% per year).

In value terms, China ($X), Turkey ($X) and Poland ($X) appeared to be the largest electric oven and cooker suppliers to Ukraine, with a combined 72% share of total imports.

China, with a CAGR of +6.7%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the average electric oven and cooker import price amounted to $X per unit, which is down by -39.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 28% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($X per unit), while the price for Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+13.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
