In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of extruded solid rubber rods and profiles, when their volume decreased by -64.9% to X tons. Overall, imports showed a drastic downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 23% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, extruded solid rubber rod imports dropped remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 50%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then reduced dramatically in the following year.
