In general, exports enjoyed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when exports increased by 89% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

In value terms, vulcanised rubber mats exports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, exports saw a prominent increase. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

Poland (X tons) was the main destination for vulcanised rubber mats exports from Ukraine, accounting for a 55% share of total exports. Moreover, vulcanised rubber mats exports to Poland exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Germany (X tons), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Moldova (X tons), with an 8.8% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Poland totaled +75.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Germany (+73.2% per year) and Moldova (+20.5% per year).

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the key foreign market for floor coverings and mats of vulcanised rubber exports from Ukraine, comprising 50% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Moldova ($X), with a 13% share of total exports. It was followed by Germany, with a 9.4% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Poland totaled +86.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Moldova (+12.4% per year) and Germany (+64.8% per year).

The average vulcanised rubber mats export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, surging by 14% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+6.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports into Ukraine

Vulcanised rubber mats imports into Ukraine soared to X tons in 2021, rising by 21% against 2020. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 69%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, vulcanised rubber mats imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a perceptible slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 56% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

Poland (X tons), Germany (X tons) and China (X tons) were the main suppliers of vulcanised rubber mats imports to Ukraine, together accounting for 63% of total imports. These countries were followed by Russia, India, Belarus, the Czech Republic and Canada, which together accounted for a further 27%.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Belarus (with a CAGR of +104.2%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Poland ($X), Germany ($X) and China ($X) appeared to be the largest vulcanised rubber mats suppliers to Ukraine, with a combined 50% share of total imports. Russia, the Czech Republic, India, Belarus and Canada lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 28%.

Belarus, with a CAGR of +79.6%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average vulcanised rubber mats import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, almost unchanged from the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 9.2%. The import price peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
