In value terms, furnace burner exports shrank remarkably to $X in 2021. Overall, exports recorded a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 241%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then declined remarkably in the following year.

Russia (X tons) was the main destination for furnace burner exports from Ukraine, with a 51% share of total exports. Moreover, furnace burner exports to Russia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Belarus (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Kazakhstan (X tons), with a 10% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Russia stood at -15.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Belarus (+40.4% per year) and Kazakhstan (-13.6% per year).

In value terms, Russia ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for furnace burners, mechanical stokers, mechanical grates and mechanical ash dischargers exports from Ukraine, comprising 56% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belarus ($X), with a 9.7% share of total exports. It was followed by Kazakhstan, with a 7.4% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Russia amounted to -8.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Belarus (+32.8% per year) and Kazakhstan (-9.5% per year).

The average furnace burner export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, growing by 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price posted a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 177%. In general, imports saw a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 63%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, furnace burner imports fell notably to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a deep reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 88%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

Hungary (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of furnace burner imports to Ukraine, with a combined 68% share of total imports. Germany, the Czech Republic, Turkey, China, Russia and Belarus lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 28%.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the average import price increased by 80% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2020, and then reduced in the following year.
