In value terms, Saudi Arabia ($X) remains the key foreign market for lemons and limes exports from Ukraine, comprising 75% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Turkey ($X), with an 18% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Saudi Arabia stood at -18.6%.

The average lemon and lime export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, reducing by -10.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a abrupt setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 145% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia stood at $X per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+5.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, purchases abroad of lemons and limes decreased by -13.5% to X tons, falling for the second consecutive year after three years of growth. In general, imports continue to indicate a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 21%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, lemon and lime imports soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a pronounced decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 35%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Turkey (X tons) constituted the largest lemon and lime supplier to Ukraine, accounting for a 71% share of total imports. Moreover, lemon and lime imports from Turkey exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Argentina (X tons), fivefold. South Africa (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 8.9% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Turkey stood at -1.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Argentina (-3.3% per year) and South Africa (+3.2% per year).

In value terms, Turkey ($X) constituted the largest supplier of lemons and limes to Ukraine, comprising 65% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Argentina ($X), with a 16% share of total imports. It was followed by South Africa, with an 11% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from Turkey amounted to -1.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Argentina (-3.5% per year) and South Africa (+4.5% per year).

In 2022, the average lemon and lime import price amounted to $X per ton, surging by 37% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Brazil ($X per ton), while the price for Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
