Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, penicillins or streptomycins medicaments exports dropped to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when exports increased by 89%. The exports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Overall, imports, however, saw a pronounced decline. Imports peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, penicillins or streptomycins medicaments imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible decrease. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, the UK (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of penicillins or streptomycins medicaments to Ukraine, with a 39% share of total imports. Moreover, penicillins or streptomycins medicaments imports from the UK exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, France (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Slovenia (X tons), with a 10% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from the UK amounted to -1.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: France (+8.0% per year) and Slovenia (+0.7% per year).

In value terms, the UK ($X) constituted the largest supplier of medicaments of penicillins, streptomycins or derivatives thereof to Ukraine, comprising 37% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Slovenia ($X), with a 15% share of total imports. It was followed by Italy, with a 12% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from the UK totaled -3.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Slovenia (+0.5% per year) and Italy (+12.0% per year).
