The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then contracted significantly in the following year.

In value terms, organo-sulphur compound exports contracted markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then fell rapidly in the following year.

Exports by Country

Turkey (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main destinations of organo-sulphur compound exports from Ukraine, with a combined X% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Belgium (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the United States ($X), Latvia ($X) and Belgium ($X) were the largest markets for organo-sulphur compound exported from Ukraine worldwide, together accounting for X% of total exports.

Among the main countries of destination, Latvia, with a CAGR of X%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the average organo-sulphur compound export price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by X% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a mild decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of X%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Georgia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Georgia (X%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Ukraine

In 2022, supplies from abroad of organo-sulphur compounds decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the second consecutive year after four years of growth. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by X% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, organo-sulphur compound imports expanded to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

Belgium (X tons), Spain (X tons) and Japan (X tons) were the main suppliers of organo-sulphur compound imports to Ukraine, with a combined X% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Japan (with a CAGR of X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest organo-sulphur compound suppliers to Ukraine were Belgium ($X), Spain ($X) and Japan ($X), together comprising X% of total imports.

Japan, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the average organo-sulphur compound import price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per ton), while the price for Spain ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (X%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
