The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when exports increased by 6,928% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, pig fat imports soared to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 33%. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Poland (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons) and Spain (X tons) were the main suppliers of pig fat imports to Ukraine, together accounting for 73% of total imports. Sweden, France, Denmark, Belgium and Hungary lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 26%.
