In value terms, exports of special-purpose electric lamps and lighting fittings soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 68% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports of attained the maximum in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

Poland (X units), Germany (X units) and Belgium (X units) were the main destinations of exports of special-purpose electric lamps and lighting fittings from Ukraine, together comprising 52% of total exports. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +115.3% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 64%. Imports peaked at X units in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, imports of special-purpose electric lamps and lighting fittings reached $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, enjoyed a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 54% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.

In 2022, China (X units) was the main special-purpose electric lamp and lighting fitting supplier to Ukraine, with a 91% share of total imports. It was followed by Turkey (X units), with a 2.4% share of total imports. Poland (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 1.9% share.

Over the period under review, import price indicated a pronounced increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, import price for special-purpose electric lamps and lighting fittings increased by +84.5% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 19% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.
