The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +37.6% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 66% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In value terms, plastic hose and hose fitting exports surged to $X in 2021. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 50% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Poland (X tons), Uzbekistan (X tons) and Moldova (X tons) were the main destinations of plastic hose and hose fitting exports from Ukraine, with a combined 40% share of total exports. Overall, total imports indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.7% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +79.8% against 2015 indices. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
