Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, pneumatic elevator exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 300% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

Moldova (X units) was the main destination for pneumatic elevator exports from Ukraine, with a 36% share of total exports. Moreover, pneumatic elevator exports to Moldova exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Kazakhstan (X units), threefold. North Macedonia (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with an 11% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Moldova amounted to +17.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kazakhstan (-6.7% per year) and North Macedonia (0.0% per year).

In value terms, Moldova ($X) remains the key foreign market for pneumatic elevators and conveyors exports from Ukraine, comprising 38% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 16% share of total exports. It was followed by North Macedonia, with a 12% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Moldova totaled +18.8%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kazakhstan (-6.8% per year) and North Macedonia (0.0% per year).

In 2022, the average pneumatic elevator export price amounted to $X per unit, reducing by -6.3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 16%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Canada ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, the amount of pneumatic elevators and conveyors imported into Ukraine skyrocketed to X units, jumping by 41% compared with the previous year's figure. Overall, imports continue to indicate a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 310% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, pneumatic elevator imports expanded markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a slight slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 331%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2022, Germany (X units) constituted the largest supplier of pneumatic elevator to Ukraine, with a 57% share of total imports. Moreover, pneumatic elevator imports from Germany exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Italy (X units), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Belgium (X units), with a 10% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Germany stood at +38.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (+18.7% per year) and Belgium (+16.9% per year).

In value terms, the largest pneumatic elevator suppliers to Ukraine were Germany ($X), Belgium ($X) and Italy ($X), together accounting for 71% of total imports. Bulgaria, China, Turkey, Austria and France lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 19%.

In terms of the main suppliers, Bulgaria, with a CAGR of +45.0%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average pneumatic elevator import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, falling by -24.4% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a abrupt decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the average import price increased by 5.3%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per unit), while the price for Austria ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
