In value terms, polymethyl methacrylate exports expanded modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a abrupt setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 28% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Latvia (X tons), Kazakhstan (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the main destinations of polymethyl methacrylate exports from Ukraine, with a combined 89% share of total exports. Uzbekistan, Russia, Germany and Belarus lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 10%.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Germany totaled -12.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: France (+61.7% per year) and Taiwan (Chinese) (+20.8% per year).

In 2022, the average polymethyl methacrylate import price amounted to $X per ton, jumping by 81% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price enjoyed a buoyant increase. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
