In 2022, overseas purchases of prepared additives for cements, mortars or concretes decreased by -78.7% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Over the period under review, imports faced a deep contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 39%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, prepared additives for cements imports reduced dramatically to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a deep downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 33% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Poland (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of prepared additives for cements to Ukraine, with a 31% share of total imports. Moreover, prepared additives for cements imports from Poland exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Romania (X tons), twofold. In 2022, the average prepared additives for cements import price amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 41% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a mild increase. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($X per ton), while the price for Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
