In value terms, printing press exports soared to $X in 2022. Overall, exports enjoyed a buoyant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 149% against the previous year. Poland (X units) was the main destination for printing press exports from Ukraine, with a 78% share of total exports. Moreover, printing press exports to Poland exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Italy (X units), sixfold. The third position in this ranking was held by the Czech Republic (X units), with a 1.8% share.

In value terms, Poland ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for printing presses exports from Ukraine, comprising 70% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Italy ($X), with a 4.6% share of total exports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with a 0.9% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Poland stood at +65.9%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Italy (+9.2% per year) and the Czech Republic (+11.1% per year).

The average printing press export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, which is down by -62.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 155% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Italy ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, imports of printing presses into Ukraine shrank rapidly to X units, reducing by -52.9% against 2021 figures. In general, imports showed a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 110%. Imports peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, printing press imports dropped sharply to $X in 2022. Overall, imports faced a abrupt curtailment. Italy, Japan, Taiwan (Chinese), Turkey, Poland, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 33%.

Japan, with a CAGR of +20.4%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average printing press import price amounted to $X per unit, declining by -24.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 60% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
