In value terms, radiator exports contracted rapidly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 69%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then shrank notably in the following year.
Exports by Country
Uzbekistan (X tons) was the main destination for radiator exports from Ukraine, with a 52% share of total exports. Moreover, radiator exports to Uzbekistan exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Moldova (X tons), threefold. Romania (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 12% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Uzbekistan totaled +51.3%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Moldova (+38.4% per year) and Romania (+101.8% per year).
In value terms, Uzbekistan ($X) remains the key foreign market for radiators for central heating (not electrically heated) exports from Ukraine, comprising 46% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Moldova ($X), with a 17% share of total exports. It was followed by Romania, with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Uzbekistan totaled +56.9%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Moldova (+25.0% per year) and Romania (+88.8% per year).

The average radiator export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, jumping by 21% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, radiator export price increased by +47.2% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by 26% against the previous year. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Azerbaijan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+13.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Ukraine
Radiator imports into Ukraine contracted rapidly to X tons in 2022, which is down by -64.6% on the year before. In general, imports saw a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 11%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, radiator imports reduced remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a abrupt curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 30%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Turkey (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of radiator to Ukraine, accounting for a 48% share of total imports. Moreover, radiator imports from Turkey exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Poland (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Germany (X tons), with an 8.1% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Turkey stood at -18.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (-8.9% per year) and Germany (-12.1% per year).
In value terms, Turkey ($X), Poland ($X) and Germany ($X) appeared to be the largest radiator suppliers to Ukraine, with a combined 73% share of total imports. Italy, Bulgaria, Slovakia, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 20%.
In terms of the main suppliers, Italy, with a CAGR of -0.5%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average radiator import price amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 24% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, radiator import price increased by +88.9% against 2016 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 25%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while the price for Slovakia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+10.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
