In value terms, threshing machinery exports shrank significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 70% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then fell remarkably in the following year.

Kazakhstan (X units), Lithuania (X units) and Moldova (X units) were the main destinations of threshing machinery exports from Ukraine, together accounting for 75% of total exports. These countries were followed by Russia, Bulgaria and Georgia, which together accounted for a further 21%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Bulgaria (with a CAGR of +67.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, imports showed a pronounced decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 101% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, threshing machinery imports dropped rapidly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports showed a deep reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 78% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

Imports by Country

Hungary (X units), Germany (X units) and Italy (X units) were the main suppliers of threshing machinery imports to Ukraine, together comprising 65% of total imports. Argentina, the United States, Poland, Bulgaria and Brazil lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 30%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Bulgaria (with a CAGR of +41.0%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest threshing machinery suppliers to Ukraine were Hungary ($X), Germany ($X) and Italy ($X), with a combined 71% share of total imports. Argentina, the United States, Poland, Brazil and Bulgaria lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 25%.

Among the main suppliers, Bulgaria, with a CAGR of +28.3%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average threshing machinery import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, growing by 19% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the price for Bulgaria ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
