In 2022, after ten years of growth, there was significant decline in the Ukrainian flax fabric market, when its value decreased by -66.8% to $X. In general, imports, however, posted strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 20%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then shrank slightly in the following year.

In value terms, flax fabric imports declined notably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 28% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Italy (X tons), Turkey (X tons) and Lithuania (X tons) were the main suppliers of flax fabric imports to Ukraine, with a combined 53% share of total imports.
