Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a measured expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 105% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, exports of turbo, rotary and reciporating displacement compressors contracted to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a measured increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 261% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the exports of failed to regain momentum.

Bahrain (X units) was the main destination for exports of turbo, rotary and reciporating displacement compressors from the United Arab Emirates, accounting for a 36% share of total exports. Moreover, exports of turbo, rotary and reciporating displacement compressors to Bahrain exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Italy (X units), threefold. Niger (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 10% share.
