The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 134%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Mozambique (X units), Uzbekistan (X units) and Sweden (X units) were the main destinations of orthopedic prosthetics exports from the United Arab Emirates, with a combined 29% share of total exports.

From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, orthopedic prosthetics imports reduced to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a noticeable expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 119% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X.
