Saudi Arabia (X tons) was the main destination for basic dye exports from the United Arab Emirates, with a 79% share of total exports. Over the period under review, imports recorded a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 72%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 210% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

India (X tons), China (X tons) and Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons) were the main suppliers of basic dye imports to the United Arab Emirates, together accounting for 77% of total imports. Turkey, Saudi Arabia and South Korea lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 22%.
