The exports peaked at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker exports declined dramatically to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 90% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Israel (X units) was the main destination for electric oven and cooker exports from the United Arab Emirates, accounting for a 31% share of total exports. Moreover, electric oven and cooker exports to Israel exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, India (X units), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Sri Lanka (X units), with an 11% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Israel stood at +218.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: India (-11.8% per year) and Sri Lanka (+3.9% per year).

In value terms, Israel ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters exports from the United Arab Emirates, comprising 66% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Rwanda ($X), with a 7% share of total exports. It was followed by Sri Lanka, with a 4.3% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Israel amounted to +358.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Rwanda (+9.9% per year) and Sri Lanka (+7.3% per year).

After three years of growth, purchases abroad of electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters decreased by -15.4% to X units in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a resilient expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 138% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units, and then reduced sharply in the following year.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker imports contracted to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a pronounced increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 49% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.

Imports by Country

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of electric oven and cooker to the United Arab Emirates, with a 87% share of total imports. It was followed by Turkey (X units), with a 1.9% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China totaled +17.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (+27.3% per year) and Singapore (+54.1% per year).

In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters to the United Arab Emirates, comprising 53% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Turkey ($X), with an 8.2% share of total imports.
