In general, imports, however, faced a dramatic decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when imports increased by 103% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, marble granules and powder imports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a precipitous contraction. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
