In value terms, non-electric roasting furnace exports dropped dramatically to $X in 2022. In general, exports saw a pronounced curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 157%. Bahrain (X units), Tanzania (X units) and Rwanda (X units) were the main destinations of non-electric roasting furnace exports from the United Arab Emirates, with a combined 90% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Rwanda (with a CAGR of +103.4%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Bahrain ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for non-electric furnaces and ovens for the roasting or melting exports from the United Arab Emirates, comprising 73% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Tanzania ($X), with a 13% share of total exports. It was followed by Rwanda, with an 8.1% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to Bahrain amounted to +29.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Tanzania (+22.7% per year) and Rwanda (+151.9% per year).

Over the period under review, export price indicated notable growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. After two years of growth, overseas purchases of non-electric furnaces and ovens for the roasting or melting decreased by -36.6% to X units in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded buoyant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 212%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-electric roasting furnace imports rose significantly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a slight increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 145% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
India (X units), China (X units) and Italy (X units) were the main suppliers of non-electric roasting furnace imports to the United Arab Emirates, with a combined 69% share of total imports. Bahrain, South Korea, Germany and France lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 26%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Bahrain (with a CAGR of +97.3%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Italy ($X), China ($X) and Germany ($X) appeared to be the largest non-electric roasting furnace suppliers to the United Arab Emirates, together comprising 47% of total imports. India, Bahrain, South Korea and France lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 16%.
Among the main suppliers, Bahrain, with a CAGR of +124.3%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average non-electric roasting furnace import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, jumping by 72% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a perceptible decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 128% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per unit), while the price for India ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
