From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Oman amounted to +24.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kuwait (+8.2% per year) and Saudi Arabia (+17.5% per year).

Over the period under review, imports saw a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 46% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, organo-inorganic compounds imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports enjoyed a prominent expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 74% against the previous year.
