In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in the piper pepper market in the United Arab Emirates, when its value decreased by -33.3% to $X. After three years of growth, overseas purchases of piper pepper decreased by -27.9% to X tons in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a prominent expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 126%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then dropped sharply in the following year.

In value terms, piper pepper imports plummeted to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 239%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then dropped markedly in the following year.
