The test bench market in the United Arab Emirates fell to $X in 2022, which is down by -9.6% against the previous year. Overall, consumption, however, continues to indicate a resilient increase. In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of test benches, when their volume decreased by -27.8% to X units. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 474%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, test bench exports dropped remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 309%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then plummeted in the following year.

Germany (X units) was the main destination for test bench exports from the United Arab Emirates, with a 33% share of total exports. Moreover, test bench exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, France (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by the Netherlands (X units), with a 2.2% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Germany totaled +43.9%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: France (+50.8% per year) and the Netherlands (0.0% per year).

In value terms, the largest markets for test bench exported from the United Arab Emirates were France ($X), the Netherlands ($X) and Germany ($X), together comprising 47% of total exports.

The Netherlands, with a CAGR of +181.0%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the average test bench export price amounted to $X per unit, reducing by -13.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 82%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2021, and then fell in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Germany ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +78.4% against 2016 indices. In value terms, test bench imports reduced dramatically to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw strong growth. Imports by Country

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of test bench to the United Arab Emirates, with a 34% share of total imports. Moreover, test bench imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Slovakia (X units), fourfold. Estonia (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 4.3% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China amounted to +77.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Slovakia (+33.8% per year) and Estonia (+97.9% per year).

The average test bench import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, with a decrease of -18.8% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed pronounced growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 187% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2020 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($X per unit), while the price for Sweden ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+17.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
