In value terms, exports of wood residues, pellets and other agglomerates surged to $X in 2021. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when exports increased by 289% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of the exports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Oman (X cubic meters) was the main destination for exports of wood residues, pellets and other agglomerates from the United Arab Emirates, accounting for a 83% share of total exports. From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Oman stood at -16.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Comoros (+49.4% per year) and Sri Lanka (+202.6% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The average export price for wood residues, pellets and other agglomerates stood at $X per cubic meter in 2021, waning by -6% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate moderate growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the average export price increased by 68% against the previous year. In 2021, imports of wood residues, pellets and other agglomerates into the United Arab Emirates skyrocketed to X cubic meters, rising by 71% on the previous year's figure. In general, imports saw a strong expansion. Imports peaked at X cubic meters in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, imports of wood residues, pellets and other agglomerates skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports posted resilient growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 74%. Over the period under review, imports of attained the maximum at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, Germany (X cubic meters) constituted the largest supplier of wood residues, pellets and other agglomerates to the United Arab Emirates, accounting for a 25% share of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by the United States ($X), with an 8.9% share of total imports. It was followed by the Netherlands, with a 3.9% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value from Germany amounted to +11.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the United States (-12.8% per year) and the Netherlands (+52.1% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The average import price for wood residues, pellets and other agglomerates stood at $X per cubic meter in 2021, dropping by -4.9% against the previous year.
