Bismuth Market Size in the UK

The UK bismuth market shrank to $X in 2021, waning by -13% against the previous year. This figure reflects the total revenues of producers and importers (excluding logistics costs, retail marketing costs, and retailers' margins, which will be included in the final consumer price). Australia, Israel, Poland, Switzerland, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, China, Thailand, Italy and Hong Kong SAR lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 49%.

The average bismuth export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, increasing by 4.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a perceptible downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average export price increased by 41% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Israel ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 118% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, bismuth imports reached $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 44%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
