From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, cereal germ imports contracted to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, saw a precipitous shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 13% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, Ireland (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of cereal germ to the UK, with a 66% share of total imports. Moreover, cereal germ imports from Ireland exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, India (X tons), sixfold. The third position in this ranking was held by the Netherlands (X tons), with a 9.8% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Ireland amounted to -24.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: India (+52.5% per year) and the Netherlands (-10.5% per year).
